UNITY FOR THE COMMUNITY!

David Colpitts Candidate for Register of Deeds stands for Unity for the Community.

Growing up on the North Shore and being the son of two parents involved in real estate, I was exposed to the Registry of Deeds at a very young age.  So began my passion for the storage and preservation of records.  I am a graduate of Salem State University magna cum laude.  I am a historian, genealogist and a member of the New England Historic Genealogical Society.  Records are about the past, present and future.

I want to be your next Register of Deeds for the Essex Southern District, because I believe the community deserves someone who will bring the registry into the 21st Century.  The digital age is upon us.  Providing equitable accessibility is vital to providing service both locally and nationally.   The archiving and storage of records is critical to their ethical preservation and security.  I aim to provide multilingual online and onsite services that will work and create a culture of customer care and inclusivity that serves a diverse community in the 30 towns and cities in our district and beyond.

Fiscal responsibility is very important.  I will save you, the taxpayer, over $300,000 a year by subleasing 19,000 square feet of currently UNUSED space at the Registry of Deeds.

I stand for UNITY FOR THE COMMUNITY.

When elected I will lead by example and serve with integrity and transparency.  Please vote for David Colpitts on November 6, 2018.  Thank you for your consideration.
